Course Description 

This webinar will identify the different non-traditional careers available in the nursing field.  Participants will recognize that they have different options outside of the hospital setting to continue working in the nursing profession.  The goal of this webinar is to help address the current nursing shortage in the U. S.   

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, the healthcare professional will be able to:

  • State the projected nursing shortage in the United States
  • Identify the nursing shortage projected for the state of Illinois
  • Describe two new nursing careers
  • Identify available funds to pursue higher nursing education
  • Recognize different nursing certifications in the nursing field
