Joint Providerships

Joint Providership

Joint providership has been an established process for more than 25 years, affording accredited organizations the opportunity to collaborate with non-accredited organizations to enhance the diversity and value of their educational offerings.

Educational organizations seeking accreditation may submit a pre-program application provided you are not an ACCME defined commercial interest. A commercial interest is any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on patients.

Who We Are

The Foundation for Care Management, a center for learning and change is a recognized leader in local, national, and international continuing medical education for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.  Founded in 1995, FCM is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization whose role it is to fill the education and practice gaps of healthcare practitioners.

Accreditations

ACCME – Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education

ACPE – Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education

ANCC – American Nurses Credentialing Center

Why Seek Accreditation

Healthcare practitioners need continuing medical education for their respective licensing boards. Accredited continuing education provides an objective, non-commercial and evidence based form of learning. CME continues to evolve and regulatory alignment between the ACCME and AMA now allows accreditors like FCM greater flexibility in how learning happens. If you haven’t sought out CME in the past we’d encourage you to complete an application and see if your program qualifies. We encourage all programs be up to a CME standard to facilitate greater learning experiences for your audience.

Topics for Consideration

Today’s learners increasingly and appropriately expect education to be professionally delivered, tailored to their needs and practice environment and support both an evidence based process and quality improvement. Learning should be adaptable to different learning styles and accessible to where you live, learn and practice. A variety of topics are acceptable provided they are evidence based and supported by peer reviewed literature. Content areas as well as educational modalities are derived from documented educational and practice gaps of the healthcare providers. The FCM Advisory board applies multi-disciplinary expertise to recommend course content and presentation methods to the Planning Committee. Topics must be free of any commercial interest.
